Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Arrival handles information when you use it on iPhone and supported Apple devices.
1. Summary
Arrival is designed to work without an account. We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or profile details to use the core features. Most data used by Arrival stays on your device.
2. Information the app uses
A) Location information. Arrival can use your location to track your trip progress and alert you when you are near your chosen destination. Depending on the permissions you grant, the app may access location while the app is in use and, during active tracking, in the background.
B) Search and maps. When you search for places in Arrival, the app uses Apple MapKit services to provide suggestions and results. Search text and related request details may be processed by Apple.
C) Saved places and history. Arrival can store recent start points and destinations locally on your device so you can quickly reuse them.
D) Notifications. Arrival uses notifications to deliver arrival alerts and related tracking messages. We do not send advertising notifications.
E) Live Activities / Dynamic Island. If enabled, Arrival may show trip progress and destination-related information on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.
F) Purchases / subscriptions. If Arrival offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store. We do not receive your full payment information. Apple may provide non-sensitive purchase status so Premium features can be unlocked.
3. What we do not collect
- Your name, phone number, or personal profile information for core use
- Your precise location history on our servers as part of normal operation
- Advertising identifiers for ad targeting
4. How we use information
- Provide place search and map-related features
- Track trip progress and trigger arrival alerts
- Show and manage saved places or recent history on your device
- Provide optional Live Activity updates
- Enable Premium features if purchased
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data.
- Apple MapKit may process search and map requests to return results
- Apple / App Store may process payments and entitlement status
- Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
6. Data storage and retention
- Saved place history is stored locally on your device until you clear it or remove the app
- Tracking-related location use is processed during active tracking
- The app is not intended to upload your location history to our servers as part of normal operation
7. Your choices and controls
- Location: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Arrival
- Notifications: iOS Settings → Notifications → Arrival
- Live Activities: iOS settings depending on iOS version and Lock Screen controls
- Clear history: in-app if provided, or by deleting the app
8. Important visibility note
Notifications may appear on your Lock Screen, and Live Activities may appear on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. Anyone who can see your device screen may be able to view that content while it is active.
9. Children’s privacy
Arrival is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The effective date will be updated when changes are published.
