BookMay Business
Refund Policy
This policy explains how refunds and cancellations may work for BookMay Business plans, app payments, direct KitVa payments, customer service deposits, and payment-provider transactions.
1. Different payment types
BookMay Business may involve different payment types: merchant plans, app-store purchases, direct payments to KitVa, setup services, custom work, payment-provider transactions, and customer payments or deposits for services provided by a business. The refund path depends on which type of payment was made and who received the payment.
2. Customer service bookings and deposits
For appointments, reservations, classes, consultations, treatments, repairs, and other services listed by a business, the business is normally responsible for the service, price, deposit, cancellation rule, refund decision, and customer handling unless BookMay expressly states otherwise.
Businesses should make cancellation cutoffs, deposit terms, refund limits, and service-specific rules clear before customers confirm a booking. Cancelling or updating a booking in the app does not automatically guarantee a refund unless the applicable business terms, payment-provider rules, or checkout terms say so.
3. BookMay Business plans and direct KitVa payments
If a business pays KitVa directly for a BookMay Business plan, setup service, onboarding service, custom work, support package, or other paid feature, the refund and cancellation terms shown at purchase or in the applicable order, invoice, agreement, or plan terms apply.
Unless those terms say otherwise, fees for periods already used, setup work already performed, onboarding already provided, support already delivered, or custom work already delivered are generally non-refundable.
4. Fraudulent or unauthorized business activity
Where a business account, subscription, setup service, onboarding service, support package, or paid feature is suspended or terminated because of suspected or confirmed impersonation, unauthorized shop registration, fake listings, malicious bookings, fraudulent activity, infringement, misuse of customer data, staff misuse, or other material breach, payments to KitVa are non-refundable and non-creditable to the maximum extent permitted by law and applicable app-store or payment-provider rules.
This includes scenarios where a person registers another merchant's shop, accepts or creates bookings without authority, uses another merchant's name, address, logo, phone number, staff details, or service descriptions, or causes customers to attend a shop where no booking was arranged by the real business.
A platform or payment-provider refund, if granted, does not prevent KitVa from banning the account, preserving records, notifying affected parties, reporting abuse, or seeking recovery of losses, chargebacks, investigation costs, legal costs, and other remedies available under law.
5. Subscriptions and renewals
If BookMay Business offers recurring plans, renewal terms and cancellation steps will be shown through the relevant app-store, payment-provider, order, invoice, or plan process. Cancelling a subscription normally stops future renewal but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless the applicable terms or mandatory law require it.
6. App Store purchases
If BookMay Business offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases through Apple, Apple normally handles billing, subscription management, cancellation, and refund requests under Apple policies. KitVa cannot directly refund App Store transactions unless Apple provides a specific mechanism for us to do so.
Deleting the app does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription. You must manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings or the relevant app-store process.
7. Payment provider processing
Refund timing may depend on banks, card networks, app stores, payment processors, and other providers. Processing fees, currency conversion, bank charges, chargeback fees, or taxes may not always be returned, depending on the payment provider and applicable rules.
8. Business disputes with customers
If a refund dispute relates to a business service, the customer and business should first try to resolve it directly. BookMay may provide records such as booking status, messages, cancellation settings, and payment references where available, but KitVa is not required to decide every service dispute unless we expressly agree or applicable law requires it.
9. Fraud, abuse, and mistaken payments
We may refuse, delay, reverse, set off, or investigate refunds where we suspect fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, account compromise, policy breach, unauthorized account activity, impersonation, malicious bookings, infringement, misuse of customer data, or mistaken payment. We may request information needed to verify a payment or refund request.
10. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any non-excludable statutory rights you may have under applicable law, including mandatory consumer or business rights that apply to a transaction.
11. Contact
For BookMay Business product or payment questions involving KitVa, contact kitvalimited@gmail.com.
For a refund involving a service provided by a business to a customer, the customer should normally contact that business first through BookMay or through the contact details shown on its listing.
