iWalkie Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 13, 2026
1. Scope
iWalkie is a real-time walkie-talkie service operated by KitVa Limited. This policy explains the data processed to provide iWalkie and applies to its iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch experiences.
2. Data we process
- Your Sign in with Apple identifier and, when Apple provides them, your name and email address.
- Your iWalkie profile, including display name, handle, accent, presence, friendships, channel memberships, and channel preferences.
- App installation and session identifiers used for authentication and abuse prevention.
- Push notification token, platform, bundle identifier, device label, and app version when notifications are enabled.
- Operational event metadata such as channel joins, friend-request changes, and push-delivery failures. This metadata does not contain recorded voice.
- Signed Apple notification receipt IDs, event type, account identifier, audience, and event time used to prevent replay and apply account changes.
3. Live microphone audio
iWalkie processes live microphone audio only while you hold Push to Talk. The audio is transported through LiveKit for real-time delivery to other participants in the selected channel. iWalkie does not record or store voice audio.
4. How data is used
We use data only to authenticate users, find friends by exact handle, coordinate friendships and channels, operate Push to Talk, deliver notifications, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose service failures.
iWalkie does not sell personal data, serve advertising, or track users across other companies' apps or websites.
5. Service providers
- Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, and D1 host account and coordination data.
- LiveKit transports real-time voice audio.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and Apple Push Notification service delivery.
These providers process data only as needed to perform their respective role in the service.
6. Retention
Account and channel data is retained while your account exists. Authentication sessions expire after 30 days. Operational event metadata, rejected friend requests, and disabled push-token records are removed after 30 days. Accepted friend requests represent active friendships and are removed when the friendship or account is deleted. Apple notification receipts are removed after 90 days.
7. Account deletion
You can delete your account in iWalkie under Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deletion revokes the stored Sign in with Apple authorization and removes the account, profile, sessions, push tokens, friendships, memberships, and channels owned by the account.
8. Security and international processing
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect service data. Because iWalkie relies on global service providers, data may be processed in regions outside your place of residence, subject to the providers' safeguards and applicable law. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes and contact
This policy may change when iWalkie's data practices change. We will update the effective date when material revisions are made.
